Eight Little Thoughts

1. Getting along is more important than getting your way UNLESS it is really, REALLY important to you. Decide that fact wisely.
2. Know that you are not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s OK. Choose carefully on how you spend your time if you are not appreciated.
3. If someone said that they were going to get in touch with you for a dinner and then never follows up, think about this. If it is important to you, follow up yourself or realize you were not one of their priorities. Either way, that’s OK. You learned something. Move on. You gained some knowledge.
4. If you are working on a project with someone, take time to celebrate the little victories.
5. Say you are sorry if you are wrong. Say it twice to make sure that it was heard and then move on. Do not dwell on it – well, maybe for a little bit – and then be done with it.
6. Change your sheets and towels once a week. Structure and cleanliness make you feel good.
7. Being happy and laughing is more fun than being mad and moody. Both are inevitable but keep a balance. Others, and you, will appreciate that.
8. Before you react, try to see things through the other person’s eyes.
