Replies to “Meet Cute”

All the replies were positive – as I had hoped they would be. One was reflective. Please read on and a big thank you to those of you who responded.

LY writes “It may be trite but I am happy for you because you’re happy for yourself. The reason clichés exist is that they each are rooted to some extent in truth. I enjoy reading your TTN articles and enjoyed this one. It’s always been nice to see you and have you on our walks. My only quibble with your new beau is that it seems that you are less likely to spend time in NYC. Of course, if he’s footloose and fancy free, he can join you on your snow birding adventures.. SK writes “Glad you are where you are and so happy for you and your new loving relationship. I hope it works out. You deserve to be happy after the past two years.” SK, amen to that and thank you.

LS says “Just read your story on TTN’s newsletter regarding your new dating partner. Good for you. I think it’s much easier to be a couple. Have fun.” Being engaged in new relationships, expanding your horizons, trying new things with a new person is invigorating to your mind and body. Thank you, LS.

WH gives an introspective point of view. “Thanks, Nancy. Happy Spring” I replied “I hope you have found a playmate also.” This answer came back. “Not yet. Guess I am too picky.” Always remember:  Viva la difference. No one will be your perfect match. No one will have all your same interests and frankly that’s not what you want.

I urge everyone to smile a bit more. Make more eye contact.  Give a little more praise to that other person. Nothing ventured, nothing gained and frankly, you have nothing to lose. Loosen up a bit and make your day a bit brighter.
